The assistance afforded by each of the following is greatly appreciated: Folkert Aleva, Lynda Brooks, Steve Cafferty, Lars Chatrou, Peter van der Coelen, Gina Douglas, Prof. Peter Fuhring, Hans Heniger, Charlie Jarvis, Jifke Koek-Noorman, Adrienne Koenhein, Roel Lemmens, Prof. Paul Maas, Prof. Jos van der Maesen, Liesbeth Missel, Rene Siep, Prof. Marc Sosef, Gerard Thijsse, Wilma Twigt, Jan Wieringa, Lubbert Westra & Gea Zijlstra.

Onno Wijnands (1945-1993), Curator of the Botanical Gardens, Wageningen from 1977 to 1993, had a keen interest in the Clifford collections housed in Wageningen. The information incorporated in this website is mainly based on published and unpublished work of Onno Wijnands (see also the literature). Without his enthusiastic endeavours it would not have been possible to assemble this website in the allotted time.

This project is a collaborative effort between Renske Ek Webdesign & Onderzoek (Enschede) for project management, research and website building and MM-web (Arnhem) for Content management system, with help from Restauratieatelier Meridiaan (Amsterdam) for the restoration of herbarium sheets and books; and Imogen Poole (G3, IJsselstein) for English translation. The exhibition module is made with help from Idekker8 (Utrecht) for providing the concept; Victor Jetten (Enschede) for the tecnical support, Olde Daalhuis (Enschede) for the construction; Manon Posthuma (Enschede) for the ornament; and Fem Grafisch ontwerp (Utrecht) for design of the banners.

This project was made possible by external grants through the Mondriaan Stichting, Alberta Mennega Stichting, the Par Terra Fonds, as part of the Prins Bernard Cultuur Fonds, Hugo de Vries Fonds, K.F. Heinfonds and the Swedish SKF groep.
